The ac on my 2004 corolla le would blow cold and then go to warm and when I stopped the car it would start off cold and then get warm. It would act up and then work fine but was getting worse. When it happened I checked the compressor and discovered it was not engaged. It was blowing cold air,so I didn't think the freon was low, and I checked it with my gauges when it was working and the pressures were good and then it would quit. I also own a Tacoma and remembered reading about a relay that was going bad on a lot of Toyota's on Tacoma World , I looked it up on a thread and its the relay for the magnetic clutch on the compressor its marked M/G clt . I tapped it with a screw driver and the compressor turned on so I went to Advance Auto and purchased one for $17 and the ac now works fine. Hope this can help someone
