ok..... according to the avg mpg guage it showed that I was getting 31-33 mpg average which I am happy with. yesterday I started up the car to go on break and noticed its at 26 and going down and now its at 24.... wtf grrrr. I don't know what's going on. any thoughts?
Try to reset the gauge. The only way to know actual mpg is to keep track of miles driven between fill-ups divided by gallons bought. My first tank got 28.8 mpg. That's combined, mostly city driving, to & from work, lots of stop n go on the way home.
Thanks. I did that now its back up to 29 currently. I dont know if this is in any way related to the lower mpg but I recently got an oil change done and noticed that they overfilled it way past the full mark. This was at a dealership too. So I took some oil out to the full mark.
