GPS Navigation system updates

Corolla's maps are on a SD card. You'd have to transfer data from the DVD to SD card (via computer) granted what's on the DVD is fully compatible with the system. The SD card in the unit might have some specific code or format, so I'm not sure a new one would work flawlessly. Toyota does provide online update for the multimedia apps ( https://securedp.toyota.com/download-app/downloads ) but they mention maps updates are still a dealer thing.

I don't think it works anymore. Well, the navigation should work, but I don't think that they are updating the software till today. There are a lot of other new and modern GPS navigation systems that can be installed in any car you want. But, if you are interested in that DVD, you can download it on https://www.dvd2dvd.org/best-dvd-ripper/ a DVD ripper software that will extract all the data from that DVD and put it on your computer.
