Hello everyone, I have been having a bit of trouble figuring out what is wrong with my corolla.
I have a 2004 corolla with a manual transmission, 170,000 miles.
Recently I have started having a problem where the car hesitates at low RPM and sometimes when I am around 1-2k rpm in 1st or 2nd gear, it will jerk back and forth with hesitation when I hit the gas.
It gets worse as the car heats up. At its worst, it will hesitate and accelerate at about half the normal speed until it hits about 2.5-3k rpm and then it will boost back to normal.
I have changed out the throttle position sensor and the mass air flow sensor, neither of these fixed the problem. I have used regular gas and ive used premium ethanol free gas with no noticeable changes. I put new Bosch plugs in it about 10,000 miles ago.
Any suggestions would be great!
