Intermitent Start... No Crank

#1
I've had my 97 Corolla for almost 10yrs and have had very few problems. About 18 months ago my son had been driving the car to school and on his return journey, he tried starting it and it wouldn't crank. On questioning him, he revealed it had been doing this for a week on and off, but it would eventually start!!!! As this was a common problem on older Chevys, I replaced the starter. Upon researching this online, I found that as the starter solenoid contacts wear, through use, this appeared to be identified as an issue. Great. Yesterday, I experienced this again! I have a hard time believing the starter solenoid has worn again, in 18 months! My question is this: As I don't have detailed wiring diagrams for this car, does anyone know of any relays that I can access that maybe in the starting circuit that maybe the culprit? I pray its not the ignition switch.....!!!!
