So I finally found a used replacement shifter cable and began removal of the broken one. I have the broken one disengaged from the mounting brackets on both ends but I am unsure which way to remove it through the firewall. I'm a full time student and cannot afford a repair manual but I do have one on order through the local library. It has not come in yet. If any one could advise me further on the removal process it would be greatly appreciated.
