Hello! I would like to put new wheels/tires on my car and I needed some help figuring out what would look best on my Magnetic Grey 2009 Corolla S. I would prefer a black rim with stock suspension. Could you possibly post pictures/links? Thanks so much for your help!

Worry about ride, braking, hydroplane resistance/rain traction, handling, speedometer/odometer accuracy, fuel economy and performance being reduced before worrying about appearance.

For best ride and handling combined along with maintaining the accuracy of the speedometer and odometer, use the original equipment size tires and rims.

I understand that, it can't be that difficult to change wheels/tires to fit my car correctly. I'm just trying to find that information. If it is too challenging then I'll move on.

I just don't know what's a decent brand for tires/wheels. There are so many different brands out there, i would like to narrow it down. It's hard to find info about this subject online and even in these forums. I figured I would post questions to help my search. I understand the cons to altering my car but they aren't enough to deter me. This is obviously the first time I've ever decided to change my wheels and I would like to do it right.

Avoid anything made in China, as invariably it will be cheap and leave you disappointed. Tires and brakes are the two most important components on your vehicle, because if either of them fail, well it could really ruin your day. For this reason, I always recommend to purchase the best you can afford and not merely shop on price. There are huge differences in tires from brand to brand.

Anything from B.F.Goodrich, Michelin and Bridgestone will be a good tire. However, no one tire can do it all and so they compromise in some area's to do better in other area's. A tire that wears a very long time many times doesn't handle well in the rain or snow due to its harder rubber compound. So it all depends on what is most important to you. In tread life, handling, ride quality, noise, hydroplaning resistance, snow traction, rain traction, fuel economy, etc., pick what is most important to least important to you and then you can narrow down the choices as to what is the best tire for you. There is no one tire that will be the best for everyone as it all depends on your needs and those differ from person to person, which is why there are so many tire choices available.

At http://www.TireRack.com they have many research tools available for you.
