The Toyota Corolla has a well earned reputation as a reliable vehicle that provides good fuel economy. As for maintenance, I have posted several different video's on maintenance in the maintenance section.
Most vehicles have a major maintenance service interval scheduled for 60,000 miles, so with 66,000 on yours and with just purchasing it, you might want to look the car over and see if any maintenance has been done, i.e. oil or transmission fluid change, new spark plugs, new coolant, new brake fluid, new air filter, new fuel filter, etc. These are all commonly replaced items at 60,000 miles.
