Greetings!
Just picked up a new old car for the teenager to drive. It's a 2009 Corolla base model with 5-speed manual in Black Sand Pearl. It has 108k miles and is still in good shape. A few scuffs on the bumper covers, but otherwise very clean, and the interior is practically mint.
My son has been bugging me to teach him to drive a manual, and not wanting him to wreck my Challenger, we went looking for something a bit more pedestrian in nature. This car practically fell into our lap. He's getting the hang of a stick shift pretty quickly and is thoroughly enjoying himself.
I've owned dozens of vehicles of all types over the past 30 years but this is my first Toyota. It's a fun car to drive. It runs great, rides smooth, shifts well, what else could one ask for in basic transportation? Here's hoping it serves us well for another 100k.
