Hopefully this is in the right place (nooby over here)
I recently bought a 1993 Toyota Corolla DX for $600 as a beater/commuter and I really like it. I've been fixing geo metros since the early 2000s (longtime geometroforum member) so this is not too different for me haha. The corolla has 259000 miles and is in alright shape. The interior is MINT, not a tear to be found and everything works/is there! Not a single stain even. The AC blows ice cold still and the heater is nice and hot. The exterior has been sun baked by the texas sun for 23 years so the paint is dull but is still there at least. It doesn't have any dents surprisingly. Although it has high miles it runs just fine and passed emissions with flying colors last week. I've already done a lot to it and the only things it needs are new struts (it bounces like crazy over bumps) and it vibrates at idle unless I put it in neutral so it needs new mounts. Other than that I'm pleased with my purchase and can't wait to fix it up to great running condition! So far I've replaced the taillights with ones from a 96 model, the fuel pump, all the vacuum lines, all the fuses, belts, the windshield water reservoir, cup holders, door handles, coolant hoses, brakes, and pcv valve. Looking forwards to sharing my progress with you guys - Aaron V
