Possible 09 Tire Size

Have the opportunity to buy some 215/70 R15 snow tires for our 09 XLE. I realize the XLE comes with 205/ 55 R16. I'll be getting 15 inch rims.
By my calculations the snow tires will be about 1 cm wider, not sure if taller.

Think they'll fit?

Those are huge. The proper 15" size is 195/65R15. Those are much wider, not good in a snow tire and much too big in diameter. The proper diameter is around 25.0" and those are 26.9". No good. Buy the proper size. Here are proper sizes for tires that fit the Corolla properly.

195/65R15
205/55R16
225/50R16
205/50R17
225/45R17
245/40R17
225/40R18

They are all around 25" diameter but the wider sizes are not good for winter tires. My winter tires are 205/50R17 and they work great.
