Yesterday I removed the horn cover on the steering wheel and replaced the cruise control lever. It was just a matter of pulling the two screws out of the side of the steering wheel then lifting the horn cover up. the cruise lever was also just two screws and a plug. I have replaced the horn fuse and wanted to check the horn relay but I don't have the equipment to do it. I really don't know what the problem could be, the horn worked before I changed the cruise lever. I'm wondering if there is anyway the contact points are not making contact when pushing down on the horn cover. There was no type of adjustment when reattaching the horn cover, just align the screw on each side of the steering wheel and that's it. I would appreciate any comments that might help, don't want to pay a dealer if I can keep from it. Thanks.

I wasted ton of money on 2 spiral cable replacement, before I realize all have to do was use a Circuit Tester, crc electronic cleaner, & clean my fuses

so, check your fuses first!

Like final gear said, check your fuses. Also there’s a ground cable under the steering wheel cover. And the horn cable and cruise cable are connected in the same plug. Check those as well.

Glad you found the problem then.
Thanks, the dealer that sold me the part gave me bad information as you will see in my other post. The end result was it cost me $175.00 out of pocket that never would have happened had I been given the correct information about the part. Now I will try and recover my money but it won't be easy.

Wow. I’m so sorry to hear the dealer screwed you so bad. I’ve worked as a tech and a parts and service specialist and I can tell you dealers will charge a good 80% over their cost. Some parts are really not worth buying original. My biggest fear with installing cruise control in my car is spending lots of money for something I wasn’t sure was going to work. Fortunately it did! And it only cost me $15. I’ll attach the link to amazon in case you want to try that route and for anyone reading this thread. I installed mine back in February of 2018 and had zero issues. It was plug and play. Also you have to install your horn cable to the cruise control plug. Let me know if you need help with that.
