This is what my temperature guage looks like on my '03 1.4l petrol Corolla when it's fully warmed up. Cabin is heating nicely amd engine seems to be running fine. It just looks suspiciously cool to me. Is this normal and if not, what should I check?
If cabin is warming up normally I suspect thermostat valve working ok. Might be sending unit or gauge in instrument cluster on dash faulty. check engine block temp. with infrared gun. Should be in 180-200 degrees Fahrenheit area.
