Secret button for unlocking the door(s)

Info: 2009 Corolla Matrix Manual Transmission
I wired a push button into the grill in parallel with the unlock switch in the passenger door. It works great if the car is locked with the door lock switches, key or manually but locking the doors with the key FOB disables the unlock switches in the door and hence my secret button.
Any ideas to getting the door(s) unlocked with the FOB inside? I'm thinking maybe modifying the button to open a window.
What do aftermarket alarm systems do to accomplish the task?

Upon further thought turning the key in the driver's door once unlocks the driver's door and turning it twice unlocks all the doors no matter how the doors were locked. There must be a wiring difference in there somewhere. Guess I need to open the driver's door panel.
