so tired of waiting to get the injen intake, i went to autozone and got the most expensive parts to build a custom short air intake. drilled some holes, sanded an adapter, had a hard time finding the right screws etc etc. after an hour everything looked perfect. so i started the car and boom, it turned itself off. check engine light. i think im missing the MAF. what do u think guys?

Shouldn't have shut off. I forgot to connect mine the other day and it ran with a CEL.
I wonder if it has something to do with the California emissions controls.

I'm pretty sure that the MAF sensor needs to be there, as it helps the ECU regulate the air to fuel ratio.
