Spiral cable / clock spring

Having trouble with the spiral cable / clock spring wearing out on my 07 corolla. I've replaced it twice and it's failing again. Anyone had this experience?

The airbag light comes on first, then in a few weeks the cruise control stops working, then the horn gives up the ghost. I've broke down and had the dealership replace it. I might have been installing it wrong or had a cheaply made part. The dealership said they can be tricky to install correctly.

I had the same problem with my horn.. I check all the fuses & replay. Replace the Spiral cable / clock spring twice (there 2 difference version for this gen corolla :mad:).
Wasted a lot of money... what fix my issue was i replace the Horn's fuses and clean horn fuse port with CRC Industries QD - Electronic Cleaner.

I reinstall the old Spiral Cable.. my 1st, I believe was for the 03-05 Corolla and my 2nd one was triggering the air bags sensor. :mad::confused:

Try cleaning your fuses ;)
