Stealthbox

Curious to know if anyone has attempted or successfully fit one of these in their 14+

http://www.jlaudio.com/sb-t-crola-12w3v3-car-audio-stealthbox-94506

It specifically says 2010-2013, but I know that there's a lot of similariities between the gens underneath the skin. The trunks look similar enough on the pictures I've found.

Crutchfield has it listed as a 2009+ compatibility, but when you look at "what fits my car" it's not listed...

Just looking to add some feeling, not blow out the windows, and I don't want to sacrifice any trunk space.

Other than this, my options are custom enclusures, or a basstube that I can quickly remove if/when i need the space, unless there's any other OEM-fit boxes that I've been unable to find?

Build your own. I just finished up this one today and it only cost me about 200 in materials and few hours of time. (sorry its a 2010 in the pic but the same goes for any pocket of space like this one has. IDK what your trunk space looks like but if you post a pic I'll gladly give my thoughts on placement.

LOL as if...

I don't have the time or the patience for such a project, unfortunately. I may swing by a local sound shop to see if they could do something similar, and what it would cost.

I'll have to clean out my trunk and get a few good pics, but they do look very similar IMHO.

Where'd you mount the amp for that install, if you don't mind me asking?

I haven't finished it yet. I literally finished up that box yesterday.

I have two options for the amp rack.

One is to build a flip up rack in the tire well above the spare tire. I will build it so that it can lift up on hinges and allow me to remove the spare tire.

Two is to mold it into the bottom side of the rear deck where the back speakers are. I will be building small enclosures for the 6x9s to go in, and it is easy to just add the amps here and have them tuck under the rear deck.

Here is a thread with some info on the box. http://www.corollaforum.com/threads...ion-fiberglass-molded-box-with-amp-rack.3896/

Hope this helps.

Just as a reference, here is JL Audio's Stealthbox. Notice how the corolla mat isn't there? Because this box intrudes in the footprint of the mat. Mine allows me to still use the decorative mat. Just sayin.... :)

I don't have a mat anyway

I also don't have that nifty little storage box/compartment/trashcan/where-all-my-crap-goes-when-i-make-a-hard-left area on the passengers side. :(
