Suspension Suggestions

#1
I have a 1993 Corolla DX (1.8L). I was curious about suspension options, mainly I'm wanting to add a little ground clearance. I was seeing if anyone had suggestions as to what would be easiest and/or most cost effective. I've considered getting new shocks/struts or just using spacers. The reason for a little additional ground clearance is because I live in WV and sometimes I scrape in driveways, etc.

Raising a vehicle higher into the air will cause the fuel economy to drop, increase noise at highway speeds and can make the car harder to drive straight when at highways speeds, particularly with any wind. This would also reduce handling and increase tire wear. I don't recommend it. If the roads are that bad, it might be better to purchase a truck.
