What Size Wheels and Tires?

#1
Looking at XXR 527 wheels. 17 x 8.25 +35 mm offset.

Can I run a 225/45r17 tire on a stock '03 Corolla S without any issues or rubbing? If not, what would work with these rims? I feel like a 215 tire would be too thin and stretched (which I don't like).

Any advice? Thanks!

Cuz it's easier to get a pair of rims with tires than to get 2pairs, get all if u have the $, but I dont so....i want to get 17s in the front too, bit tirerack dont recommemd, which means theres proly scrubbing, but 16 will fit with no prob. U know it's a big diff when u go from stock 15 to 17, right?no means to pay more to make 17s fit, but if it does, let me no wat u did. 215 should b gd enough even if u want a lot of grip.

Increasing rim diameter, i.e. 15" to 17", decreases ride comfort and increases the incidence of rims being bent from impacts with road irregularities. It also causes much more wear and tear on the tires, the struts and the entire suspension. With the larger wheels, the increased weight of the wheel that is directly bolted to the drivetrain/engine, can also reduce fuel economy and performance.
