Wider tires on LE Premium 16s

#1
Hey guys,

Was wondering how much rubber can I fit on my stock aluminum rims. They're the ones that look like Lexus or Avalon rims some of you may know what I'm talking about or just check my pics

I'm running stock Michelin 16 55 205.
I know I can go a size up in width to 215 no problem but how about 225?

I'm also curious how my gas mileage would be affected between 215 and 225. If anything has done something similar please let me know your results or thoughts if you're thinking about going wider.

This site might help

You have 16x6.5" rims? I don't know if 225 will fit.
I went with all new rims. 18x8 35mm offset with 225's. Should have put 245's, maybe this fall.
Anyways, 225/45/18 and there's still room for more!
Since I went plus 2, minus 2 the overall diameter of the wheel is basically the same. The difference is that it's wider which give a little more power as there is more contact with the road.
Gas mileage has been unaffected for me.
There's another site you can try also, I believe it is
