Yellow Fog Lights

So this is what I came up with. There are two types of H16 bulbs.

5202/H16/9009 General Electric, which is the 35 W version that we do NOT want to use in our Corollas.

H8/H11/H16 Osram, which is the 19 W version that we DO want to use.

I e-mailed superbrightleds.com and asked them when they would release amber LEDs for H16 Osram that will have the proper beam pattern (right now they don't even carry H16 bulbs, at all).

PIAA has a set of yellow H16 fog lights out and I believe they may be Osram, but the website is down at the moment so I can't confirm this.

One website I saw that I do like is this one.

The LED kit is pretty damn pricey, but they are specifically designed to work as actual fog lights and not make things worse by increasing glare during fog.

They also have H16 Osram lights for cheaper than the PIAA kit I saw on Amazon.

The one major complaint I have with the fog light LED kit, is that the connections need to be taped or mounted because, for whatever reason, they have you check polarity before inserted the wires into the connector. It screams of lazy development, and I shouldn't have to pay $129 to have a bulking connector hang from the car that doesn't need to be there. I've also never heard of the company, so who knows if the product is as good as they say it is ($129 for two LED bulbs? Way too much...).

Hopefully superbrightleds comes up with a solution, but chances are, if I can confirm the PIAA lights are Osram, I'll just go with that.

Yeah, scratch the Nokya. When you look at their website itself and view the larger images, it becomes apparent that they are not well built.

sigh ... the disadvantage of having the first year of a new generation. The long wait for parts.
