hi there... just to say i also had to use spacers... went with non hubcentric spacers but took my time installing them torqued to around 80 foot/pounds... and rechecked the torque on them after 300 miles runs nice done almost 2k miles on them no vibration
reason for the spacers was i bought 114...
anything i need to avoid to do, beside the obvious not running the car when its out of fluid?
after i reassemble the pan and fill back (with the same amount of fluid i will have drained?)
Is there anything else important to do? I heard the fluid expands when its hot, so after shifting it...
yes the more i think, stopping the flow would be very messy... ill try going to toyota get ws fluid (2011 automatic is ws?)
and i might ask for a pan gasket and a filter? is this best if i drop the pan and change the gasket and the filter?
i dont have many tools, think i would need a small...
would it be right to change mine again slowly (id like to change a quart 6 times at 6 months intervals...) its dark and has already 4+ years/40kmiles on it? first time it was changed in a garage but dont wanna pay that bill again..
got mine changed a few years/miles ago (2-4 years, 20-40 miles ago) and its dark purple almost black... I think to keep it fresh looking red you should drain and refill1-2 quarts, like every oil change or each year at the least
defining oneself as a car guy on the basis you drive manual... is a bit shortsighted... you can enjoy any car on any road with any drive train... just enjoy the drive...
its really doing better ... it rejected a disk once recently but when the disk comes out the unit detects its out... maybe a sensor was dusty or something (i also hit the dash pretty hard, to try to get it to work, now it seems to...
actually ive fixed it before by scrapping the inside with a bobby pin, trying to pull parts of the mecanism to reset... today i managed to switch the disk, so im not changing the unit.. yet XD
also tried a lot to force a disk in (it thinks theres one in but theres not) and let it eject the disk...
I know... must be pressure related... i had my dad go on a drive with me after i had put the dipstick back in because it didnt solve the problem lights at first but i think the car restarted shifting in 4th on second start when we went around the block... he try did something with the cars keys...
hi ZeCorolla,
in my 2011 the button is more like under the steering wheel (in front of the right knee) is there two buttons for that?
im asking because would also like to reset it but i think it doesnt recognize the sensors in my new wheels
