Ive had my TRD muffler for a while now, so i put the stock one back on for a couple days and i couldnt even drive the damn thing, i couldnt hear it.

The way i understand it is the torque converter is not locking, that would explain the erratic tranny symptoms, you can do some stuff on your own by checking the electrical connectors, check that the trans fluid is clean, and clean the mass air flow sensor, it may be whats triggering the code or...

Try this, it happened to me just by accident, there is a stretch of back road near me thats up hill for about a mile. Its just about a 20 degree incline, I can start up that hill get the car to about 50 or so in 4th gear and turn on the ac ( just to put a load on the engine) at about 2800rpm...
