    2002 - Vibrating

I think so. I expect with the mileage that you have, it would help if not eliminate the problem. This is assuming that you have balanced your tires, and rotated them to assure that there is not a problem there (or a bent wheel). My granddaughter's struts were shot, though, when I changed...

    2002 - Vibrating

What they will do is let the tire (or tires) bounce up and down at a rapid rate, which to some will be interpreted at vibration. Watch a car with a bad shock go down the highway and you will see a very rapid bounce.

    2002 - Vibrating

I changed the struts on my Granddaughters 2000 Corolla, that fixed a similar vibration. Later we replaced both drive shaft assemblies, and that got rid of the grumble. The vibration was from the worn out struts though. You will have to realign the wheels after replacing the struts though, so...

    2002 Corolla Belt Tensioner

Yes, it did cure the noise. As I said the dampener seemed ok, but the mounting bushings were worn out.

    2002 Corolla Belt Tensioner

Did you get the problem sorted out? I just changed the tensioner and belt on my granddaughters 2000 CE, took about an hour and the parts are readily available for a hundred bucks or so. Also changed her water pump two years ago (the car has 172,000 miles on it). That job didn't take very long...

2002 - Need to Replace All Four Struts - Which Brand?

I just replaced all the struts in a 2000 Corolla (my granddaughters). I got Gabriel Redimount assemblies through Amazon. Got free shipping and a $125 rebate. I think that after rebate I was into the parts for $391.00. The car has 170,000 miles on it, and I thought it would be best to replace...

New/Old Corolla Owner - Usual Questions

Lee, I bought a 2000 CE for my granddaughter. Her's has a drain plug on the auto transmission and uses Dextron III atf. The spare was a dough-nut on her car. I replaced it with a full size tire and wheel, when I put new tires on it (before giving her the car). Can't say about the weep. I...
