2016 Corolla S Plus winter tires

Hey everyone, I'm getting some snow tires put on this weekend and wanted to see if anyone thinks I'll have a problem with putting on some 215/50/17's on my stock 17 inch wheels. The standard size is 215/45/17, so it doesn't seem like they'll fill out the wheel well too much more than the stock...

    18x8.5 wheels, will they rub?

So I might be buying a set of wheels and preferred 18x8 so I wont have rubbing issues, but the lowest size the set I want comes in is 18x8.5. I am only dropped on springs by 2inches , front and rear with my 2015 corolla. Will an 8.5 rub? Also what would be the best size tires to get with them?

Greetings y'all! I am a complete noob when it comes to knowledge about tires. I'm currently running on the stock set of Firestones that the 2015 S+ comes with and am coming up on 40k miles, 5k mine and 35k the previous owners. I have begun to notice why people on this forum give the stock tires...
