Heated mirrors and wipers inadequate

#1
I purchased a new (clear out) 2018 Corolla XLE in Sept 2018 from Yorkdale Toyota in Toronto Canada. Unfortunately, I have found the heated mirror and wiper functions to be utterly useless. I took both up with the dealer and they insisted everything was fine. My initial suspicion regarding the mirrors was that the heat icon on the mirror wasn't glowing as I believe it typically does in other vehicles. Apparently, according to the dealer this is normal (why put an icon on the mirror then?). Furthemore, the mirrors are not at all warm to the touch even after two 15 minutes cycles of activation. Likewise, the heated wipers are just as useless constantly icing up in inclement weather also even after two 15 min cycles of activation. Today, I had to get out three times to remove ice from the wipers in the span of half an hour. I'm finding this totally unacceptable!
Anyone else having these issues?

Heated icon not glowing on mirror : normal (not sure how many models do it as it is mostly reserve to BSM to avoid confusion). You have the dash "rear defrost" to know it's on.
Winshield wiper de-icer : main purpose is to help with wipers stuck frozen on the glass at the base of the windshield (off position). When wipers are on, they constantly move, not staying long enough on the heated base portion of the windshield. At this point, the heat/defrost of the now warm car is more more appropriate.

Thank you for reply. Yes I understand the wiper issue. It's known as Wiper Park and yes it's intended to warm the wipers blades but only when they're at rest. But, in my Corolla this doesn't happen. The base of the window itself doesn't even feel warm in the least bit even after 2 cycles of heating. Same with the heated mirrors. Regardless of the absent 'illuminated' icon, the mirrors are not warm to the touch whatsoever and there is no disbursement of fog, water droplets (as Toyota claims) whatsoever. Wondering if fellow Corolla owners are accepting these features in good faith to be functioning or, actually testing them in the real world. Despite the bells and whistles mine are NOT working to expectations. The heated seats on the other hand are great. They're practically melting snow from the inside.

FYI My mirrors do get hot to the touch. I don't have wiper de-icer but frankly after 30 min (equivalent of 2 cycles) the windshield itself should be / is warm form the car heating system.
