Better performance?

#1
Hey everyone, I have a 2015 Corolla with a 6-speed manual. I'm looking for any form of component to enhance my power and torque figures, whether it be a simple intake and chip job, or something more complex. If anyone could help me out, it'd be much appreciated.

Currently selling a pedal Commander that will take out the throttle lag in the Corolla

Just recently a few members in the Facebook group have purchased pedal commanders from eBay, sold by PC, for reasonable offer.
One guy bought for $199 and another for $150. Both received their purchase in about 2 days and units were brand new.

Turbokits.com sells a, wel, turbo kit for our engine, I think it's fairly priced, I've seen a lot of people running it. I plan on installing it this spring, however I have a CVT. So we'll see if my transmission will handle the power. I know for a fact the 6 speed can handle it fine

Any more performance will take out the reliability, just use whatever power while rolling, make it sturdy and use it to corner and drive better. Why I kinda bought a corolla, I hardly ever see one in a garage for any repairs.

Too late for me! Hahahaha

I love those taillights btw. I have a set but I’m worried about getting pulled over. So they’re still in the box.

best performance would be somehow to tap into out ecm and tcm and unlock few things

unlock few things
higher shifting rpm to 7200 when in sport mode
no speed limit
allow more power at lower end by ~5% more throttle
adjust cvt belt to lower ratio, after update ratio went up
"before software update 110 mph was in 6th gear around 3500 rpm, after software update in 5th gear around 5500 rpm"
ac compressor turn off if in sport mode then can be turn on manually after

these would be great unlocks or get the code to get in into toyota computer system of our cars, possibly the reason for good resale price because toyotas are locked up computer systems?.

CVTs don't have gears. Also, can you give the source of those RPM numbers? I'd previously heard speculation that the update limited power/rpm at low speeds and/or at torque converter lockup. (Unless you are speaking of a separate update. other than J0D/JSD.)

I wouldn’t play with those “ratios” (whether they are confirmed or not) since Toyota’s engineers deemed, based on experience, the original ones weren’t optimal for the CVT sake.

Anyway, at least on forums, most comments I’ve read reported no perceived change (my case) in performance and some a slight improvement, but none a perceived lost.

But if I were to do something, I would rather eliminate those programed ratios to let the CVT act as… a CVT, losing the lag induced by each of all 7 of them… OP has a manual anyway.
