key Bought the OEM Toyota key on Ebay for $6.45 with free shipping. No locksmiths in my area.

Key I realize that but have no idea what Toyota Boy is talking about. Regardless of who makes it or what shape it is it's still a chip key and needs programmed the same way no matter who makes it.

key response I really don't understand what you mean by this? Weather it's a Toyota OEM key or a aftermarket key the programming would be the same, correct? Why would one be different than the other???

Re key programming I bought an original Toyota dot chip key and had it cut. I need to know how to program an 06 Corolla so it will work. It's a simple thing to do if I can find the steps. I've already programmed a new remote to work for the car. I don't want to spend $100.00 at my dealer for...

I bought a replacement key and had it cut for my 06. I've tried all the programming methods on You Tube that I could find. There was nothing specifically for an 06. The 05 method didn't work. Does anyone know how to get it to work on an 06? Thanks!
