The Scion TRD intake (upper half of air cleaner, plus air tube (snorkel)) fit perfect on my 2016 Corolla. One of the snap-on clamps (that holds the top of the air cleaner to the bottom half) had to be tweaked (I used pliers) to get a tight fit.

I have a 2016 Corolla. the parts numbers I provided bolted on my car. The part number references to a Scion, yes. No TRD intake parts listed for the 2016 Corolla.

I ordered these parts.

The most noticeable - a enjoyable change for me - was a TRD air filter box (top half, plus snorkel/inlet tube from filter housing to throttle body). The mid-range response is much better, no noticeable change in the top end. The TRD air filter top is sold as for a Scion, but fits perfectly...

As noted above (and in the owners manual), the maintenance required light is not related to vehicle health. The malfunction light does indicate a problem, that could reflect a problem resulting in poor fuel efficiency.

I bought a carista plug, and with that tool, the chime can be disabled.
