Go with a true cold air intake (which technically they already have) like Injen for the previous toyota models models. Don't waste your money on those short air ram intakes (AKA warm intakes) unless you want it for the noise. If they don't have one yet, be patient and just get a K and N drop in...
I have this pulley (2014 CVT) and it complimented the intake, header, and exhaust (CAT DELETE). I used the same (OEM) belt and it has been on for about 5000 miles now no issues. revs a bit better. Bottom line it works!
Just got it done at the dealer and I can tell the difference when taking off. Not as sluggish but a bit more linear acceleration. Takes better advantage of the mods and the pedal commander.
Get an injen CAI instead. I had the Short Ram Intake and it basically just added some noise. I got the weapon r header and deleted the second CAT and resonator ( replaced with magnaflow 4 inch round muffler and joined to a J2 axle back muffler from ebay). Check my mods.
I just got a letter in the mail stating that I need the recall done. Has anyone had their Corolla recall done (CVT)? Did you have any mods when you took the car to get the recall done? I am a bit hesitant because I have the intake and header installed along with the NST pulley. Comments?? Thanks
It works fine. I have it on 2 of my cars. I drive it City +3 for the most part and once in a while Sport+2. It just cuts the lag on the drive by wire systems. The take of sucks on the CVT but it is better than stock. You can keep the revs up a bit more.
I just installed it with other bolt ons and let it be. I have 3k miles on it and no issues. If issued do arise I have the extended Max Care with Carmax. bumper to bumper!
I deleted both (OEM resonator and second CAT) and added a magnaflow + vibrant resonator to replace them. I still have the other CAT. Too much of a hassle it I take it off.
