My wife's 2000 Corolla (120K miles) has been going thru oil at significant rate since she got it two years ago. We add a quart every ten days or so. I replaced the valve cover gasket when she first got it but that did not help. I assumed it was just burning oil (which i'm sure it does) but...

I have the seatbelt light blinking on a 2000 Corolla. It stays blinking as long as the car is turned on. Can you give me some direction on exactly what you did? It sounds like yours was a work-around to stop the blinking light rather than actually fixing the issue?
