Smart Key Good in Winter ?

Does the smart key work even when you have gloves on ?

I did try it at the dealers this PM. With the gloves on you can open the car everytime. But you can't close it with gloves on no matter how often you press on the 2 bands of the door handle. Toyota should do more work on this. I think a better system would be for the car door to automatically open when you are close and as you walk away the door will lock by itself.

I like the idea of the doors locking by itself when the key is out of range, but I think I'd prefer the handle unlock, plus it's pretty seamless anyway so it's not like any time is added doing it (there are a few times here and there where I go to open the door and nothing happens, gotta let go and grip it again to trigger the unlock).
