    Idle Problems

Without proper diagnosis time we can only guess. With that said I would be checking the mass air flow sensor and the throttle solenoid and throttle pedal position sensor.

No but for the price tag it should have been! I paid less than 50% of retail on a brand new matco box. I shouldn't complain about price lol.

    2007 Corolla LE

Yes. It is kerosene with some cleansers added. It works.

    Sea Foam?

Seafoam is mainly kerosene with some cleansers added. I'd use it in fuel and in the intake manifold only. As far as oil goes, use some marvel mystery oil in the oil. It will free up the sludge a lot slower than Seafoam. This means less clogging issues. Marvel also maintains your oils lubricity...

    Weird A/C Issue

I'm not saying this is for sure your issue. I'm just stating that the EPA knows that this occurs and it's not unheard of for R134a to simply "disappear" and, when a technician looks for a leak, s/he will not find one because it is not large enough to be detected because it is a leak that will...

    Weird A/C Issue

Not true. As I stated, R134a is known to be such a small molecule to where it will leak out over time. This takes a decade or more to even notice it but it can and will leak out over time with no real fix. If you fill it up and it leaks out again, then you have issues.

    Weird A/C Issue

By the way, this is normal A/C system operation. The compressor is designed to cycle on and off. If your low-side pressure drops too low (meaning that you're low on refrigerant) your compressor will cycle off and stay off until the low-side pressure raises enough. If you are low enough on...

    Weird A/C Issue

Actually, the R134a refrigerant molecules are much, much smaller than the old R12 molecules are. These molucles are so small that they can actually leak through GOOD fittings and hoses. Over 10 years, being a little low on refrigerant (it is not Freon, just saying) is not that big of a deal...

    2005 Corolla Engine Failure

    A. Mechanic dumped brake shavings, sand, etc in your motor. B. Your motor took a **** while the mechanic was test driving it.

2008 Corolla 5-Speed Squeak When Accelerating

Probably a sticking slide pin in your caliper. Normally happens when it is not lubricated or incorrectly lubricated. I don't see a drivetrain issue nor a bushing issue causing this. Things that come to mind: 1. Stuck slide pin 2. Misadjusted parking brake

    Clutch Replacement Recommendations

Kevlar clutches, just like kevlar brake pads, are going to last longer than standard clutches or brake pads. They have very high heat ranges (they can get very hot before being damaged) and a very high coefficient of friction when compared to other friction materials that are commonly used for...

    Maximizing Fuel Economy

I've been getting around 36 when I drive like a grandpa (60 mph freeway) (90%+ freeway miles). I've gotten it down to around 32 when I'm going 80.

    Maximizing Fuel Economy

So, I come from the v8 world. My previous vehicles are a v8 titan and a v8 jeep. I'm used to feathering the throttle to try to maximize fuel economy. I'm wondering what physical modifications can be made to the vehicle to increase fuel economy? -Air Filter (Picking up a K&N today at...

Picked Up a 20006 Corolla Today!

Welp, I spent $540 in gas in january for my 94 Grand cherokee v8 (gets around 15 mpg hwy) and I said to myself "Fu** this." I went to the dealership today and talked to a salesman. I ended up finding the coolest salesman I've ever met. We drove around for a few minutes and found a Corolla in...

What to Look for In A '95 Corolla?

I went and looked at a 95 corolla today. I might do a straight trade with my 94 grand cherokee because I need a gas saver. What kinds of things should I pay special attention to? 200k Miles on the chassis, engine replaced. The owner before him replaced it, it was a used engine with 120k on...
