I had a GSXR 750 about 10 years ago. I had it for 2 years and drove it wayyyy too fast. Thinking back at some of the crazy stuff I did on that thing makes me feel lucky to still be here. I can't be trusted with fast toys.

With enough money and patience, yes. I'm not sure it would be worth it unless the Civic was totally wrecked and the Corolla had a blown motor though. It would be sweet though, I have an 08 Si. Would be sweet to rev my wife's Corolla up to 8,000!

What is the pressure in yours? Most car manufactures recommend around 32 psi for tires, it should be listed inside your driver side door.

That's what I was thinking too, I think a salesman told me that when we bought our Corolla last year. I have a friend that transports brand new cars by semi, I'm gonna ask him.

I've heard they ship cars with 100 psi in the tires. Maybe the dealership forgot to deflate them when they received it.

I wouldn't do it. The manual says no and I would be worried to hurt the CVT.

I've got a 2014 that's about to get its 10,000 mile service and I just checked the oil, it is still full. I did get the oil changed at 5,000, I don't remember if it was low that time. I have a Honda Civic that burns a little oil but it's motor revs up to 8,000 RPMs everyday, so that's expected.

I had a '77 Chevy truck in high school that had the foot pedal for high beams. It would have never done well in a mountain run though.

I'm trying to switch out the license plate lights on our 2014 Corolla and cannot get the bulbs out. I've pulled the carpet off the trunk lid but that's as far as I got. Can anyone post a link to a video or step by step instructions?

I was out last night in my Civic and a car was coming at me from a distance. It had bright lights but not horribly so. The adjustment looks right to me, if they were aimed any lower we wouldn't be able to see anything but the road right in front of us. We seriously get brights at us almost every time we drive it though. It's due for 10,000 mile service soon so I'll have them double check the alignment on them.

DjAnnex- 1200 is way to high of an idle on a warmed up motor. To the OP- Our new Corolla, also with the CVT has some odd idling too, glad to hear it's normal. Most of the time it's right around 800 like Donabed said though.

I love the dash in my Civic! We test drove an LE Corolla before we bought our S. I have to say the dash in the LE is boring and it really turned me off. The dash in the S is nice and has a sporty look to it.

The 6 speed in my Civic is just an overdrive. I have about the same torque as the Corolla and over 50 more HP and 6th is sluggish. I wouldn't use it under 50 mph. If you're happy with your old Corolla though, I'd imagine you'll be fine with this new one.
