You are right the belt is a steel alloy whatever that means but they don't say what it's exactly made of. The Corolla has been turbocharged and supercharged with the cvt trans so it is not as weak as many feared it to be.

Darn, maybe a sound deadener could help.

you can use the shift paddles in D eco, D Sport, and M. i only use them in the manual mode when i want both hands on the wheel and don't worry about shifting down when coming to a stop in manual mode it does it for you and it also shifts up at 6,000 rpm for you as well. i have no complaints...

rest in peperonies... btw can you review how the stage 2+ Clutch feels, i was thinking about purchasing one as well.

Don't worry there aren't any problems with the transmission it works perfectly for what it was designed for =). and you can also get the 6-Speed manual transmission if you don't like auto or cvt trans.

So ive had my 2014 Corolla S for almost a year now and its creeping up on 20k miles. since last week i noticed that if i drove the car a lot all day or pushed it hard on the highway the cvt would start whining really loud, almost like i had a supercharger. anyone else have this happen to them?

It technically is the only one in the world other than the ones in toyota/s secret lab lol so i guess he feels thats how much he deserves for achieving this. i personally would not pay that much though unless it was a 6-speed manual
