A lot of reviews concentrate too much on a sporty ride and rate the cars accordingly . I rate the cars as mentioned in my earlier post. Good reliability,good resale, good gas mileage,good room, good looks, comfortable. The Corolla meets all these quite well. Could be why your average driver buys...

For my 2014 once the seat is angled just right and steering wheel set just right I find the ride quite comfortable . I don`t think I would have any problem going great distance. Great mpg,great reliability, good pricing, good ride(it`s not a sports car). Smart people buy Corollas.

And that would be 10k miles per year unless you drive a lot of stop and go or have other things that add extra wear to the oil.

I usually change close to 5k , may go 6k miles. I use Mobil 1 0w-20 or maybe another name brand if on sale but mostly Mobil1 . With my type of driving I feel very safe at this change and probably could go further with no issues.I seem to be averaging about 11k miles per year.

Under Toyotacare I would change in between oil changes at home . Now that my Toyotacare is over I change at home as I have all my life . 5k oil changes are a little overkill for the driving I do since I use 0-20w full synthetic name brand oils. Usually Mobil 1. I may go a little over 5k but not...

I would go 5000 mile changes if I were you.

So I average 37mpg ,that amounts 60 km .

A km is about 2/3 of a mile . but I would just do a Google search and you should find a comparison chart.

Mine came with the Michellin MXV4 tires on my 2014 Corolla LE+ .

I use "Nu-Finish" and have for years. Goes on and comes off easy and seams to do a good job. I`m sure there are going to be a lot of others that have preferences.

I would think you would be fine. I`m not really into oil additives . I think just use the 0w-20 oil as Toyota recommends and change at the intervals recommended or sooner and keep an eye on the oil level.

As far as pricing I can`t help you there , but I will say my 2014 Corolla LE+ has been flawless with 33K miles so far. Roomy rear seat decent ride and great gas mileage if yo ride moderately and don`t race from one red light to the next.

Got a 2014 with 32k miles on it and it`s been flawless.

I buy OEM filters from my dealer (less than a 1/2 mile from my house). They are a little less than $6 each. Toyota`s ok with them for 10k but I don`t go that long on an oil change.

Woops , sorry . I just re-read the posting and see they are Continentals. I`ve never had Continentals on any car so I can`t offer any reviews on the brand.

Singhms , what brand of tires are on your car? As I posted earlier I have the Michellans and they are wearing fine. I`m just wondering if its a specific brand that is doing this.

I agree with "jolly". If rotations are regular and alignment is ok along with suspension then that just leaves improper inflation . Are you going with 32psi as advised by Toyota . The sticker is on the drivers door frame. The psi figures on the tire itself will have the highest psi reading you...
