Turbo kit cross-compatibility 2018 corolla le

I have the turbokits.com system on my 2009 Corolla. The kit is amazing and you can have it tuned any way that you want for power. I've got mine tuned at 8.6 psi but if you want to only tune it for 6 psi you could. Remember that the max boost psi is just that, a maximum that may rarely be needed...

Top end speed 2016 LE 1.8

That would be close to the top speed due to drag and the power available to push it much faster. 145 mph in a stock Corolla with 132 HP is a pipe dream. haha

    $95 Header Install

Interesting how different your OEM exhaust manifold looks compared to mine from my 2009 Corolla S. Mine from the 10th Gen looks more like your aftermarket header design. I've been told that doing headers on the 10th Gen had little benefit due the good OEM design.

Top end speed 2016 LE 1.8

Depending on wind, road condition and the weather factors most will see 115-120 mph in a top speed run.

    Rim Size Fitment

I wasn't sure what size he was asking about since he used your quote. I responded because he referenced it. I wasn't picking on you! haha:rolleyes: If you want to go wider a 255/35R18 has the proper 25" diameter.

    Rim Size Fitment

No, they won't rub in any way but they will look better if you do a mild drop on Eibach springs.

    Rim Size Fitment

Hopefully you didn't make the same mistake that he did and get the 225/45R18 size that is too large of a diameter. Go off of the list I left and you will always have the proper diameter in any wheel size.

    Rim Size Fitment

That's because it's too small of a diameter. I have no clue why Toyota uses the 215/45R17 size with a 24.6" diameter on the sedan when every other tire they use has a diameter of 25". On the Corolla iM hatchback they use the correct 225/45R17 size. Most people upgrade to a 225/45R17 when they...

Top end speed 2016 LE 1.8

I never do anything much above the speed limit around town. I did my top speed run when I was going through Nevada on a back road in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing but dirt for miles except for the road!!

    $95 Header Install

I learned a long time ago to not get cheap, low quality parts as they end up costing more money and time in the long run. When I installed my turbo system I was sure to replace the exhaust manifold gasket with a new OEM one. It wasn't that expensive from the dealer.

    Hella twin tone horns!

You should wire in the relay. It's very simple and will protect your wiring. The Hella horns draw a lot more amperage than the stock horn and the relay is needed because of that. A few others didn't use it and had problems later on. I wired it in on my Hella horns and it was super easy.

JET Power Flow MAF Sensor? Non Stop Tuning Lightweight Crank Pulley?

It would be interesting if you had done some detailed timing runs with a V-Box Sport before and after the install instead of relying on just "feel."

    Rim Size Fitment

I've been around cars and used to sell tires and wheels many years ago so I just did it myself to help out others. The proper tire size for 18" wheels is a 225/40R18. Wheels come is different widths but a good fit for that tire would be a 18x8 +35mm offset. This will fill the wheel well nicely...

    Braking with 18s on?

That's true to a point. My 17" wheels are 4 lbs lighter than my 16" OEM alloy wheels. Many good quality 18" wheels are still around 23-25 lbs each while good quality 17" wheels are around 17 lbs each. That is a huge difference in unsprung weight that affects braking and acceleration. The proof...

    Braking with 18s on?

When you add more unsprung weight going to a 18" tire/wheel combo your braking distance will suffer as will your acceleration time. That's why I stayed with a very light 17" wheel as it seems to be the sweet spot.

Top end speed 2016 LE 1.8

I haven't tried a top speed run in my 17 Corolla iM but in my 09 Corolla S I did and the fuel cut off occurred at 118 mph.

How many miles do you have so far??

I have 4800 miles on my 2017 Corolla iM 6MT. I love it but I don't get a chance to drive it as much as I would like to. I drive a work truck and I have 7 cars that fight for my driving time.

New Corolla sedan 2019 or 2020?

If you put it side by side to the current Corolla hatchback aka iM I think the iM looks better inside and out. Just my opinion of course but I'm really happy that I bought my 17 iM last year.
