Sorry to hijack, but How hard is it to replace struts and whats involved? How can you tell if your struts are bad?

I heard a lot about AMSOIL, but is it worth putting that kid of oil in her if its burning that much??? I saw that link, some peopel had it worse than my situation.

both, probably didn't have to do ball joints, but i noticed there was a little play when I grabbed and shook the driver side cv shaft. vibration used to be felt on the wheel... A LOT. but after the repairs, it got a lot better. Still feel the vibration on the floor
