    95 Rear Doors

Indeed, with the current anti-business/anti-job administration in Washington, D.C. driving gas prices up into the stratosphere, fuel economy is a very important issue. Gas prices wont come down until we elect a new President this fall, so in the meantime we need to do what we can to save money...

My 93 Corolla is Getting Poor Gas Mileage

The only way to correctly diagnose this fuel leak is by getting the car on a lift at an auto center. Fuel doesn't have to be dripping on the ground for a leak to be present. If you are actually smelling gas, it can only be because of a leak, which is also very dangerous and can cause the car to...

To get correct/accurate mpg figures, fill the gas tank to the brim and record the mileage/odometer reading, then drive the car for whatever distance you desire, then refill the gas tank to the brim again and divide the miles traveled by the gallons it takes to refill the gas tank to the brim and...

Certainly people cut coil springs. It's the best way to go. Cutting coil springs doesn't have anything to do with the ride of the vehicle. The ride is handled by the struts/shocks and tires. The high performance Pontiac Trans Am with the WS-6 handling package was designed by the revered...

    95 Rear Doors

If the rear doors weren't used at all, it is possible that the latching mechanism is very dry, or corroded and not functioning/not releasing. A can of Liquid Wrench or WD-40 lubricant spray can help loosen the stuck latches. A straw inserted into the spray nozzle and then inserted into the door...

Hello Group - 1999 Toyota Corolla LE

Then that's pretty good fuel economy. Ethanol in gas reduces fuel economy about 10%, which costs the average motorist about $300 per year while the government gets to collect 10% more in fuel taxes! Interesting how that works, eh? Keep in mind, the Geo Metro is a smaller car and likely...

My 93 Corolla is Getting Poor Gas Mileage

Don't replace the oxygen sensor sensor unless it has been diagnosed as being worn out. There is no need to replace parts that don't need replacing and this is a tremendous waste of money to do so. If you smell fuel, there has to be a leak somewhere. Find it. Get the car on a lift and look...

    My Stepson's 1988 Corolla - Clutch Related?

Well then, be sure not to do the parts replacement thing hoping beyond hope that it will fix something. That's a huge waste of money that many people fall into the trap of doing.

How many gallons of fuel does your tank hold? The total mileage traveled means nothing without knowing how many gallons it takes to travel that far. No need to waste money on lowering springs. Just use the stock springs and cut 1/2 coil for better results and less money spent.

    My Stepson's 1988 Corolla - Clutch Related?

It could be the transmission, or the shifter linkage, the shifter or other possibilities. I recommend getting the vehicle to a competent transmission shop, or a Toyota Dealer for proper diagnosis. Good luck with it.

    1996 - Missfiring When Driving

It could be many different issues, but I hesitate to mention any of them for concern you might start replacing parts and that can get very expensive and frustrating. I recommend getting the car to a competent automotive technician for diagnosis.

29 miles per gallon city, highway or combined? Ethanol fuel, or not? Is that measured using a calculator or an onboard fuel economy computer? Fully inflated tires...to what psi and what kind of tires are they?

    2005 - Front Spoiler

You should be able to locate it at the below website, which is an Internet database of junkyards all across the United States. Now, you probably wont find it by searching specifically for the front spoiler by itself, but by finding the year/make/model of car and then calling that junkyard to see...

    Wheel Issues

With a vehicle that is designed to have a 4-wheel alignment, that's what it needs. To only align the front wheels is literally doing a half ass job and the vehicle is not properly aligned. Even if the rear wheels didn't need any adjustments, with a 4-wheel alignment the front wheels are aligned...
