i read on the forum about adding cruise control so i bought the paddle switch and horn wire and installed. It didnt work. After further reading of the rostra instructions (its a 2T1 vin car) i figured i needed the pin40 wire added on so I went to a salvage pick n pull and cut off an ECM connector plug and the plug in the steering column to make a wire with the right connectors. When i went to install the wire i found i already have the black/blue wire in pin40 and my column connector has the yellow wire too, according to rostra info it should already work. Also if i keep pushing the cc's 'on' button it makes my idle get rough for a while too. Anyone else face this? I'm out of ideas now, please help.

Hi. From which market is this Corolla? I mean which country you bought it.

If it’s a USA 2013 Corolla you should be able to just plug and play. Where did you bought your cruise control stalk?

I know it "should" be plug and play but it didn't work out that way. I bought parts from a Toyota dealer.

Another piece of info on my particular Corolla, if i shine a bright flashlight at the dash instrument lights I can easily see all the light cutouts like oil, seatbelt, etc. To see the cruise indicator I have to shine the light just right on it and can barely see the outline of it, like it isn't actually cut out with a light bulb installed behind it. I don't think it is an actual working indicator that could light up after installing the switch and wire.

It’s kind of hard to tell without looking at what you got installed so far. The cruise control light are a bit different compared with other lights in your dashboard. I was surprised at the spot where they’re located and how dim they are. They light up as soon as I got my stalk installed.
