1993 Corolla Life Span

I had a 1993 Corolla since it was brand new. I only ran it for 199800 Km in Ontario, Canada(with salt-ed snow-covered roads in winters). The car body got some rust on the top of the rear wheels. It served me approximate 10000Km a year. I keep the engine oil change every 5000Km. Wonder how many Km it could run until the engine "retire"?

Given your winter driving conditions, I would probably be more concerned with rust than the motor wearing out.

I have a 94 Corolla that my son drives. It has 254000 miles. (..I think that's just over 400,000Km if I'm doing the math right..) It still runs fine, and luckily here in the southwest we don't have to deal with rust problems. I'm hoping it will get him through high school and college without a lot of issues.

Thanks for your experience. I am going to fix the rusting spots in this summer, specially at the rear wheel wells.
