Driving home in a blinding rain my headlights disappeared, however the fog lights came on the car has 167,000 miles on it and have serviced it by the book with zero problems. I must mention that it was a violent electrical storm could this possibly have anything to do with it? Thanks for the help in advance love both of our Toyotas!

# 2 spark plug

Hello All,
Check engine light keeps coming on....
Noisy valve train...
Dealership says I need a new car...
Pulled the # 2 spark plug and visually there's oil on it...
replace # 2 spark every time the check engine light comes on. which is every week now.
Contemplating ( lol ) on doing a valve job ( for me its pulling the head and bringing it to a machine shop ) or just buying a new head...
Any input...?

Call around and go with whatever is the cheapest. Sometimes you are better off buying a rebuilt head and it is cheaper. On the other hand, if you know the machinist working on it does good work and warranties, go with him.

I pulled the # 2 spark plug again yesterday...
Its not wet oil but carbon ish at the bottom of the spark plug...
