2006 Corolla CE - Shocks and Struts

Hi all,

I found this forum because I had a question on new shocks and struts for my 2006 Toyota Corolla CE.

It has 160,000 miles on it and runs great. But I took it in for a basic oil change and rotation and the guy who runs the Midas here in New Jersey told me I need new shocks and struts and new tires.

I know I need new tires are getting worn out. But the price he quoted me at was $2,300.00.

I believe that was an absurd price for new tires and shocks and struts, especially for a corolla.

I was wondering what is an reasonable price for new shocks and struts and new tires would be?

I'm going to get a second estimate.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I agree that the price you were quoted is shockingly high, which makes me question the very need for what you were quoted.

Any auto center/garage will provide you with an estimate. Shop around, compare prices and find out if you're even being told the truth.
