I have a 2008 corolla with the 1.8 liter motor. About 6 years ago the car had a recall on it for a engine computer replacement and I had it done. Ever since then the engines cold start engine speeds have been excessively high and it stays on fast idle for a long time. When I first bought the car it would start cold and idle nicely at about 1400 RPM and start to back down in 30-45 seconds. Now it starts ans idles at 1800 sometimes 2000 RPM and it stays on fast idle for 3-5 minutes. Brought it to the dealer and they said the throttle body needed cleaning and I had it done but it has solved nothing. Any suggestions on a fix.
