2009 Toyota Corolla - Radio display distorted when car is cold

The Stock LCD radio just shows black squares usually in the morning when its relatively cold. The car is a 2009 Toyota Corolla LE it has 80K. The LCD is back when it gets warmer. No idea why.

I wonder if the Dealership will replace the radio for free. Any ideas how I can fix it myself or what to do?

Did u try to diconnect the battery for 5 or10 minutes ?

No I have not tried disconnecting the battery. I am assuming it should be done early in the morning when its cold or doesn't matter when you disconnect the battery?

What's the idea behind of disconnecting the battery anyway? Just wondering.

Sometimes i founded small problems with sound and radio system in my 2011 toyota corolla i diconnected the battery and its ok
Just try it when the weather is dry
It will not harm ur car
Other wise u should visit a toyota dealer near to u
