2010 corolla timing chain tensioner

#1
Hey guys, I am new to this forum so I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. I recently pulled out my timing chain tensioner on my 2010 corolla because it was leaking. I used permatex instead of a new metal gasket. When i reinstalled it i didnt know i needed to rotate the crankshaft manually to let the tenioner release from the little hook to keep it compressed. So ive been driving it for about a week now and this morning i noticed a little rattle. Did i mess something up by not manually releasing it by rotating the crankshaft? Or am i over thinkin it and it should be fine just running the engine to release it? Any advice would be great, thanks guys!
