2015 Corolla LE Eco rear drums brakes clicking & clunking

#1
Right-rear brake started making noise at 15K, at about 23K now. Brought it to dealer they didn't want to take it apart and just did a visual inspection. I then said I'd pay to have them take it apart and inspect and they went to talk to the mechanics. The final response was "The two master mechanics say it's just the pads floating inside of the drum" and that was it for that. The noise goes away some times and other times it gets pretty bad.

Thoughts?

I would take it to either another dealer or a local mechanic. If a local mechanic have them document anything they find wrong and take it back to the dealer. And contact Toyota directly to complain.

Pads inside of the drum? Drum brakes use shoes, not pads. Is it making these noises when you are just driving around, or does it make it when you are applying your brakes? I agree as you should find another dealer.
