Hello. First post here. Im not a transmission expert so here goes..
recently after a snow storm i was moving the car around the yard and got it stuck and was rocking it back and forth when i heard a clunk. and then noticed I only had power to the passenger side wheel.
I took the drive axle out to inspect it hoping it was a broken joint on either end. but it solid.
With wheels on and front of car hoisted up, i put it in gear and the drivers side wheel will turn occasionally and stop. with wheel and axle out i put the car in gear and the spline gear is turning.
so it seems to me when you put a load on the drivers side transmission it won't turn the wheel.
the car only has 148000 km's on it.
What could be the issue?, Im trying to decide whether to try to get someone to fix the transmission or sell it the car for parts. I just don't know if this is an easy fix or the tranny is totally F'ked.
