AC/Heat Control Knob Won't Light Up

#1
Hey guys, just wondering if any of you know of/can give me a DIY to fix the lighting of one of the knobs on my console. It's the one that adjusts where the air will be directed (windshield, feet, etc) sorry I'm not sure what the actual name is. Hopefully the fix isn't too complicated!

Thanks

I posted this earlier somewhere else on the forum. I haven't found any YouTube videos, but on my 2008 Matrix, I pulled off the trim for the stereo first. Then pulled the center knob straight out. There is one screw there, and two screws underneath the stereo trim. Then the assembly will come out, and from there you can access the bulbs to replace them. It may be different on your car.

Start slow, take your time, and don't force anything. If you are starting to use a lot of force, stop, and look elsewhere to see if you are missing anything.

Another option is to get a two-day subscription to Toyota's TIS website, or even to pick up a Chilton's or Hayne's.
