Airbag light on

Airbags light on

2014 Toyota corolla LE Eco 26k miles.
My airbag light came on today while driving on the highway. Any reason for this? Could I fix it myself?
I installed seat covers two weeks ago. I did check all the cables under both front seats and they all seem connected. I check under the steering wheel and all seemed good. I also checked under the hood and i dont see any cables disconnected.

The car is under extended warranty, before i take it to the dealer, should I remove the seat covers?

Could be a lot of things from simple interference with the seat belt attachment even if it "click" in place (like loose seat cover) to wiring, computer glitch or some physical problem with one of the airbag itself. In any event, a visit to the mechanic is the thing to do.

Yes the car is under extended warranty so ill take it to the dealer next week
